Butternut Box (PR)
The Poo(ch) Pendant
When you feed your pup the best in fresh dog food, its poop really does start to
deserve its weight in gold. So naturally, we created the world’s first dog log drip.
The Challenge
Butternut Box wanted to make a bold and daring statement in their latest PR campaign, making more people aware of the brand and the many benefits feeding your dog fresh food can have on their overall health and wellbeing.
The Big Idea
To highlight the importance of canine gut health (that Butternut Box had been championing for years), we launched the world’s very first ‘Poo(ch) Pendant’.
A luxury gold piece of jewellery containing a fresh dog poo sample that was collected from the owner’s house and couriered all the way to a specialist jeweller’s (whose identity shall remain top secret) where the poop was inserted into a gold locket, and welded together, so no excrement could ever escape.
Social
I wrote, shot and edited this fun social film, going behind the scenes of where the necklace was made.
Reaction
The reaction was understandably, mixed. But overall pawsitive.
Lorraine thought it was a joke. The Daily Star called it ‘Poo-ellery’.
But overall people started to get a penchant for The Poo(ch) Pendant.
